Joanna Kruszynska-Szwedo is a dynamic artist who embraces both traditional and contemporary classical music. An avid performer, Joanna frequently performs as a violinist with orchestras, and in chamber music groups. She is interested in performing jazz and contemporary music (including compositions with electronics), where she often collaborates with composers.
Joanna Kruszynska-Szwedo was a violinist of the first violin of the Silesian Opera, Poland with over 14 years of experience in Opera orchestra. She has also deputy for the concertmaster of the Silesian Opera, Poland with
7 years of experience in Opera orchestra.
She started playing on violin and piano when she was 7 years old. She was a student of Fryederic Chopin Musical Primary and Secondary School - violin class in Bytom, Poland.
During that time she has a special achievements such playing in Polish Youth Symphony Orchestra - Concert in Vienna as a violinist and playing as a violinist in Youth Symphony Orchestra “Jeunesses Musicales de Pologne” which was awarded from Ministry of Culture and Art, Warsaw, Poland.
Afterward she finished study as a Bachelor degree and Master’s Degree in art of music in the artistic and pedagogical fields as a violinist on University of Silesia, Faculty of Art and Education, Katowice, Poland.
During that time she participated as a violinist of the first violin, in the greatest Polish and International Orchestras. She had also masterclass with prof. Antonina Kazarina from Saint Petersburg.
During study, she worked as a violinist in Silesian Opera in Poland and she played concertos with orchestra in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands, France, Belgium.
She was also invited from directors of the greatest Polish Orchestras from Warsaw, Cracow and Wroclaw as well as Portuguese orchestra. She was violinist of the 1st violin Orquestra do Norte, Amarante, Portugal.
She had tour including of the United States of America, Mexico, Belize, Honduras as a member of chamber orchestra and she played extensive repertoire (classical music, jazz standards, popular music as well as a full concert).
She has been also Suzuki Method Violin Teacher of the 1st and 2nd levels with 12 years of experience in Suzuki school and private studio, as well as a member of Suzuki Association.
She has been 3+ years of experience in school, as a music teacher.
She is a passionate about teaching violin and music. She gives her heart and soul to work, and to the students she teaches. She offers private lessons for students of all ages and experience level.
